Russo Landscaping Hardscaping Warranty
5-Year Workmanship Warranty on Patios, Interlock & Retaining Walls
At Russo Landscaping, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. All hardscaping projects — including interlock patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, steps, and structural stonework — are protected by our 5-Year Workmanship Warranty.
This warranty covers any installation-related issues that arise from improper workmanship or construction practices.
What Our Warranty Covers
Our hardscaping workmanship warranty covers:
Structural Shifting or Settling: Settlement, sinking, or shifting caused by improper installation, including sub-base failure, inadequate compaction, incorrect grading, and improper drainage setup.
Retaining Wall Issues: Wall bowing, leaning, or shifting; improper base preparation; drainage or backfill errors; and wall failure caused by installation faults.
Interlock System Problems: Loose or unstable pavers, edge restraint failure, or joint sand loss caused by installation errors.
Workmanship Defects: Any construction error that affects the structural integrity or performance of the hardscape.
If an issue is confirmed to be caused by our workmanship, we will repair the affected area at no cost to the client.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
Natural Wear and Weather: Regular wear and tear, efflorescence (natural salt deposits), fading, staining, surface discoloration, freeze–thaw damage, or damage caused by de-icing salts.
Improper Use or Overloading: Parking vehicles on areas not designed for vehicles, using heavy equipment on patios, or placing sheds, hot tubs, or structures without proper footings.
Damage Not Caused by Workmanship: Tree roots, erosion, ground movement, changes to drainage made after installation, damage caused by pets or wildlife, or extreme weather events such as flooding and frost heave.
Alterations by Others: The warranty becomes void if another contractor or the property owner modifies, repairs, excavates, or alters the installation, or if pressure washing is performed improperly.
Client Maintenance Responsibilities
To maintain the longevity of your hardscape, clients are responsible for:
Avoiding salt-based de-icers and using sand instead
Preventing water from pooling or being directed toward patios or walls
Avoiding heavy loads beyond design ratings
Maintaining surrounding landscaping and drainage
Ensuring no vehicles drive or park on pedestrian-rated hardscapes
Failure to follow these guidelines will void the warranty.
